As one of the largest criminal industries around the globe, human trafficking is a complex crime connected across nations. While teaching the basics of human trafficking, we will be breaking down the differences and similarities victims face in both international and domestic trafficking cases. By learning the terminology, legal statutes, and the intent behind human trafficking, professionals in criminal justice fields will learn how to better identify and react to situations of exploitation and abuse. With both case studies and scenario-based examples, individuals leaving this class will be equipped to advocate for victims while recognizing the crime of human trafficking.
